Semi-detached pair of houses. Probably c1842-50; altered in
earlier C20. Rendered (No.31 painted white), with slate roof
and some red tiles. Double-depth halls-adjoining plan, each
house single-fronted.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2 plus 2 windows. The ground floor has
coupled doorways in the centre protected by a single early C20
lean-to glazed porch with single-pitched tiled roof, and
flanked by early C20 canted bay windows under pentice tiled
roofs. The first floor has windows of 3, 2, 2 and 3
Tudor-arched lights with horizontal glazing bars, those of
No.31 with hoodmoulds (that to the right formerly carried
across the corresponding window of No.33 but now cut off at
the junction); gablets over both outer windows. Roof with
oversailing verges and gable chimneys.
