House, converted to shop at an early date. Probably c1800;
altered. White painted brick, old slate roof. Rectangular plan
parallel with lane.
EXTERIOR: single storey, with one window in the long side and
another in the east gable. The north side has a square-headed
doorway off-set to the left and a square 3-light window to the
right; the east gable has a large projected 3-light bow window
with moulded wooden mullions and 6/9 outer sashes and a fixed
20-pane centre window. Plain frieze and moulded cornice. Tall
one-flue ridge chimney.
The west gable formerly had a window like that at the east end
but now has a casement.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms group with Nos 3 & 5 (qv) approx. 20m south-west; and
with No.27 Botanic Road (qv) and Nos 29-31A Botanic Road (qv)
to east and north-east respectively.
