House with shop at ground floor, now offices. Early C18,
probably c1716-24, altered 1860-2 and late C20; rear largely
rebuilt. Yellow brick with red brick dressings; steep pitched
slate roof with dormers behind rebuilt brick parapet.
3 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Ground-floor doors to left and
right of triple sashes with glazing bars. Upper floors
asymmetrical, said to reflect position of former passage below
to yard at rear. 1st-floor sashes with glazing bars in near
flush frames, with flat, gauged-brick arches; blind, narrow
opening under similar arch to right. Similar 2nd-floor windows
and blind opening, but windows have rebuilt brick arches.
Stuccoed band at 1st floor, plain brick band at 2nd floor.
INTERIOR: 1st-floor front room late C18/early C19 features
said to have been put back after refurbishment. Alcove to left
of fireplace, fluted architraves; garlanded frieze.
