Farmhouse. C16 or C17 with extensive additions of the 1930s. Timber
framed with colourwashed render and a plain-tiled roof. Two storeys and 4-
cell plan with baffle-entry. Entrance front: C20 fenestration. Projecting
C20 porch at left of centre with a central bullseye window and a plank door
at left and a 2-light casement to the right flank. To left a 3-light
ground floor casement window and to right a 5-light, a 4-light and a 3-
light casements. To the first floor are four 3-light casements and a 2-
light casement, all of C20 date. To the ridge at left of centre is an
axial stack with 2 flues. Further axial stack to the right hand gable end.
The left hand gable end has 3-light windows to ground and first floors.
Recessed and at left of this is a 1930s addition which has 2-light ground
and first floor casements. The left hand gable end has the 1930s brick
stack with offsets to left and at right of this are 2-light ground and
first floor windows. To right is the 1930s range which has a recessed
portion at left with a ½-glazed door and a single-light ground floor window
and 2 single-light first floor windows and to right a projecting outshut
with a lean-to roof, a single light casement at right of this and a 4-light
first floor and single-light attic windows. Rear: outshut to the whole of
the length of the ground floor with double gabled projecting wing to the
right with a canted bay window to the ground floor at left and French
windows to right and two 3-light casements to the first floor. To left of
this is a projecting wing which has a 4-light ground floor casement and a
clapboarded gable above.

Interior: Chamfered ceiling beams with stepped run-out stops to the ground
floor. Panels of pargetting to the ceiling probably of 1930s date or
brought from elsewhere at that time and showing fleurs de lys and unicorn
and rope. Four-centered chimney arch with carved roses to the spandrels,
probably of C20 date. The hall has chamfered ceiling beams with bar and
ogee end-stops and similar wall plate and joists. Close studded walling
and one window of 3-lights with diamond section mullions, and boarded
doors. Cambered bressumer to the fireplace which has some original
brickwork. The first floor rooms all have close studding, chamfered
ceiling beams, jowled wall posts and wide oak floorboards.
