Farmhouse. C16 or C17. Timber-framed with colourwashed render, partially
refaced with brick in the C19. Plain tile roof. Two storeys. L-shaped
plan. Entrance front: C19 fenestration. Lean-to projecting porch at right
of centre with a ½-glazed door and a pantile roof to right of which is a
sash window of 4x4 panes and a first floor window above this of 4x3 panes.
To left at ground floor level are two 2-light casements and to the first
floor a further 2-light casement. To the ridge at right of centre is a
chimneystack of 3 flues. The left hand side has a blank gable end. The
right hand side has the gable end at left and to right of this a projecting
wing with a slightly higher ridge. The ground floor at left has brick
walling with a sash window of 4x4 panes to ground floor right and a 2-light
first floor window. The wing at right of this has a continuation of the
brick walling with a projecting plinth and has a ½-glazed door at left and
a 3-light casement at right. Single-light casement to left of the door.
Two 3-light casements to left of the first floor and a sash window of 4x3
panes at right. Rear: projecting gabled wing at left which has a C20
chimney stack of 2 flues. The right flank has 2-light casements to ground
and first floors. To right, on the axial range is a stable door at left
and two 2-light casements at right of this. Two further 2-light casements
to the first floor.
Interior: Chamfered ceiling beams with stepped lamb's tongue end-stops.
Close-studded walls, blocked window. Jowled wall posts.
