Pair of semi-detached houses. Early C19. Brick in Flemish bond
with stucco dressings. Roof of slate.
2 storeys and dormers over basement. 3 windows each. Up stairs
to flat-arched entrance set end ranges which are slightly
recessed; each entrance set in Tuscan aedicule.
Segmental-arched ground-floor windows, with keyed lintels;
tripartite glazing of original design: 6x6 to centre and 2x2
to sides. Segmental-arched openings to basement. Storey band
between ground and 1st floors. Sill of 1st-floor windows level
with storey band; all 1st-floor openings are round-arched,
paired above the ground-floor tripartite window to each,
sharing an attached Tuscan colonnette. Single window above
each entrance. Guttered eaves. Stack to party wall.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Despite later alterations, this pair has strong group value.
Nos 7-11, 13-20 (consec), 33-42 (consec) & 47-48 form a group
(qqv).
