approx. 50m. SE of Lower Farm
House

GV II

Barn, cart arch and stable. C17/C18. Coursed limestone rubble; front wall of
stable rebuilt in brick. Corrugated iron roof over remains of thatch. L-plan,
with stable in cross-wing on left and barn to right. 3-bay barn. Central doorway
to farmyard, partly blocked with plank door inserted and hidden by C20 lean-to
addition. Vents. Doorway to rear slightly wider. Queen strut through purlin
roof, with original rough rafters. Upper part of cart arch covered. Stable has
stable door and small fixed light window in right return side. Interior: old
stalls.
