The Old Wheelwrights

House. C17 core, probably in several phases. Mid C19 alterations. Timber
framed and plastered, the right wing with remains of old plaster panels.
Roofs of glazed black pantiles. 2 storeys. Front range raised about one
metre in mid C19 and with a symmetrical facade of that date. 2 windows,
flush-frame sashes with glazing bars. Doorcase has moulded jambs, an
entablature and a flat hood. 6-panel door and plain rectangular fanlight.
Central stack with white brick shaft. To the right is a small late C17 wing
extending to the rear, with a steeply-pitched roof and small gable stack.
Some C17 studding is visible internally. Included for group value.
