The late C16th or C17th stone farmhouse of Lower Stonehouse Farm, Stonehouse Lane, Brown Edge with mid C19th part timber framed bay extended onto the Eastern elevation. Note the two diagonal shafts to the chimney stack to the right of the photograph. Also note the single verge parapet interrupted by a stone and brick chimney stack at the Western end of the roof.
