Dated 1893. A well-detailed building in French Renaissance manner. Ashlar;
3 storeys and attic. The elevation to Market Place has a mullioned and transomed
window 4 lights wide and richly moulded pilasters to sides, varied at each
stage, and terminating as obelisk finials above a modillion cornice surmounted
by a gable enclosing a 3-light mullioned window with relief cartouche at
apex and finial; 3-light bay window projects on return angle, tiered over
2nd and 3rd storeys and carried above cornice as an octagonal turret with
angle pilasters, arched lights and a dentilled cornice surmounted by a cupola
and wind vane; carved relief frieze overall with scrolls and cherubs' and
serpents' heads and date 1893. Recessed moulded wood doorcase at return
angle with rectangular fanlight. Shop window within a 4-centred arch with
moulded keyblock has carved panels within spandrels.
