Farmhouse, now house. Probably C17, partly remodelled in mid-C19 with
later additions and alterations. Roughly coursed limestone rubble;
machine tile roof. 2-cell plan. One storey and attic. Mid-C19
cast-iron latticed casements with segmental brick heads to left and
right of segmental-headed boarded door with contemporary gabled eaves
dormers (also with latticed casements) directly above Integral end
stacks have C19 red brick tops with moulded capping. C19 double-purlin
ends with earlier purlin ends directly above and below. Wooden lintel
possibly associated with former doorway beneath west end
stack to rear. Interior: inspection not possible
at time of resurvey (July 1986) but noted as having deep-
chamfered spine beams to 2 ground-floor rooms, left with straight-cut
stops and flat heavy joists. Forms a roadside group with barn to south-
east (q.v.). Included for group value.
