Farmhouse, now divided into 2 cottages. Mid-to late C17 with later
additions and alterations. Rendered and corrugated-iron clad timber
frame and uncoursed limestone rubble; slate roofs. Original house
apparently of 4 framed bays with large central stack, later divided into
2 and eaves slightly raised to right part. 2 storeys. Stone-built
part (No. 2) has windows to left and right of central boarded door; C19
sash to upper left, remainder C20 top-hung casements. No. 1 has C19
casements directly below eaves to either side of central boarded door
under C20 gabled timber porch; C19 casement to left on ground floor.
Central rubblestone ridge stack, partly rebuilt in red brick. Interior:
inspection not possible at time of resurvey (August 1986) but No. 1
noted as having C19 wooden fireplace surround with cast-iron cooking range.
Timber frame (square panels) with red brick infill exposed to back wall.
