Barn and pigsties, the latter disused. Mid-C17 with late C17 or early
C18 and mid- to late C19 alterations and additions. Timber frame on coursed
rubblestone plinth with red brick nogging and additions; plain tile roof.
3 framed bays with C19 additions at each end. Framing: square panels,
3 panels from sole-plate to former wall-plate, and eaves raised by one
panel probably in late C17 or early C18. North-west front: honeycomb
brick vents to loft and two boarded loft doors; 2 small ground-floor
windows to left, 3 boarded doors and pair of large boarded doors off-centre
to right; flanking additions have segmental-headed boarded doors with
lozenge-shaped honeycomb vents above; further honeycomb vents in right-hand
gable end. Pigsties adjoining to south-east: probably mid-C19; uncoursed
rubblestone with red brick dressings and plain tile lean-to roof; 3 segmental-
headed entrances, each with chamfered reveals to right; pen walls now
demolished. Interior of barn: C17 square panelled cross-frames (3 from
sole-plate to wall-plate) and collar and tie-beam trusses with raking struts;
former C17 end truss has collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts and
v-struts; probably C18 inserted cross frame with tension brace, and trusses.
The barn forms part of a complete mill group including the house (qv),
the former mill (qv) and the stables (qv).
