Farmhouse. Early C19 incorporating C18 core. Red brick on dressed
red sandstone plinth; 2-span slate roof, hipped to east. Double-range
plan. 2 storeys. Toothed brick eaves cornice; integral brick end
stack to left and brick ridge stack on right-hand return. South front:
3 bays; glazing bar sashes (12-pane to ground floor and 20-pane to
first floor); central C20 six-panelled door with 3-part overlight,
and doorcase with panelled pilaster strips, moulded cornice, and brackets
supporting narrow lead-covered hood. 2-window right-hand return front,
left-hand windows blocked or blind. One-storey lean-to at rear. Interior
not inspected but early C19 fireplace noted in left-hand ground-floor
room with fluted pilasters, fluted frieze, and corner paterae. The
building seems to consist of a C18 core to the north-west, extended
to the south and east in the early C19 (see straight joints to north
and west and C18 glazing bar sash to west).
