Manor House. Dated 1723, but may incorporate earlier work. Cary stone near-ashlar with Doulting stone dressing; hipped
plain clay tile roof behind shallow parapets, ashlar chimney stacks with moulded caps. Two storeys with attic, 5 bays x
4 bays. East entrance elevation of 5 bays: plinth, band courses to cill and head levels with vertical bands giving
panelled effect, rusticated quoins, eaves cornice and shallow parapet: 2-light windows with architraves and beaded
plain mullions; rectangular leaded panes, with iron framed opening lights and internal vertical iron bars; to inner
bays timber casement dormer windows with hipped roofs: in lower centre bay an architraved part-glazed panelled door up
3 steps, under anse-de-panier moulded hood on console brackets; lead rainwater downpipes with elaborate stackheads,
including date. South elevation to match, but to lower bay 1 a pair of C20 French doors inserted. C19/C20 extensions on
north side. Interior not seen, but noted is a fine C18 dog-leg staircase with open balustrade, indications of a
possibly C16 core, and substantial tie-beam roof trusses with saddle and king post apex. (VAG Reports, SRO Unpublished
