Detached farmhouse, C17. Cary stone cut and squared, Doulting stone dressings; Welsh
slate roof with overhung gables; brick end and intermediate chimney stacks. Two storeys
with attic; 4 bays, of which bay 1 is of a different, but still early build. Plain
pilasters to each end of main portion; ovolo-mould mullioned windows with labels,
having rectangular leaded panes and iron-framed opening lights, all 3-light except
lower bays 2 and 4, which are 4-light: to lower bay 3 a 6-panelled door with glazed
toplights set into open stone porch with slim Doric columns and pilasters, simple
entablature and pitched coped gable: single-storey lean-to against south gable, and
another against north, behind a raked parapet: high in north gable a blocked attic
window. Interior not seen. (VA6 Reports, SRO Unpublished, 1976 and 1980).
