House. C19. Plastered brick. Steeply pitched red tiled roof hipped to right
and half hipped to left. 2 tall elaborate red brick concertina shaft chimney
stacks to right, 2 tall plain stacks to left. 2 storeys and attics. 3 tall
hipped dormers. To the right is an angled oriel of 4 lights with pointed roof,
panels below windows, moulded soffit and chamfered Gothic arches below. The
plasterwork is noteworthy, moulded eaves cornice, elaborate rusticated quoins
and window surrounds. 5 first floor and 3 ground floor left vertically sliding
sash windows. Gabled porch to left of oriel with chamfered Gothic arch, moulded
label, lugs to gable. 2 panel double doors. Recessed footscrapers. The right
return facing Mistley Towers has similar detail and 4 window range, that to
ground floor left an angled baywith pierced quatrefoils to parapet.
