High, cast iron railings with spiked cross bands at centre and base, plain cross
band at top. Column standards with ball finials at intervals. Rusticated grey
brick piers with stone entablature and blocking course. All rest on heavy stone
coping of retaining wall in multicoloured stock brick. Red brick right section,
with single round arched door, leads to pair of heavy sandstone piers with entablature
pediments and ornamental front panels. These hold double doors with pierced
panels. Another red-brick section leads to end wall of 1-storey lodge. Red
brick, with frieze and rusticated quoins of grey brick, stone cornice and pediment,
stone coped plinth. Round headed niche with stone cill.
