1847. Tall central block (the height equivalent to 3 tall storeys) with side
wings of 1 tall storey. Central block of banded, rusticated stone. Paired,
rusticated pilasters flank round-arched carriage entrance with rusticated voussoirs.
Pilasters support entablature and blocking course. 1-storey side wings of plain
ashlar have small, round arched pedestrian entrances with rusticated voussoirs,
and jambs. From these, quadrant links of plain ashlar with rusticated quoins,
and containing rusticated, round-arched niches, join side blocks. These are
of 2-storey height, greyish-yellow stock brick with stone plinth, quoins, entablature
and blocking course, and are blank. Cast iron, simple double and single gates.
Wrought iron lamp holder in overthrow under main arch. Side blocks have Doric
loggias on inner returns. Inside facade of stock brick with large clock in central
cresting wall. Side blocks have 3 windows each.
