Terrace town house. 1794 rebuild (after fire) of 2 houses as one. Stock
brick, slate roof. 4 storeys and basement, 8 windows wide in the rhythm
2:4:2 with the wings slightly advanced. Central entrance in wide
semicircular arched opening, panelled door with side lights and overall
fanlight, similarly arched recessed sash windows either side. Otherwise
recessed sashes under flat gauged arches. The wings have string courses to
1st and 2nd floors; crowning parapet with coping. Cast iron balconies to
pairs of windows on 1st and 2nd floors of wings and cast iron curved
balconettes to the top floor windows. Wrought iron area railings with
lampstandards and urn finials. Interior retains geometric open well top
lit staircase with delicate iron balustrade and mouldings and plasterwork
of the 1790s etc.
