C18 buildings associated with coaching inn, remodelled at several later dates. Red
brick. Two Storeys. Four windows in all to street front, which i.e. irregular:
left-hand one louvred, second a sash with glazing bars, the other two in advanced section
(No. 8). To right of no. 2 is 1½-storey return wing with one window in blind elliptical
arch. Left-hand return front of no. 6 presents two gables with projecting eaves
and advanced ground storey with c 1800 doorway, having a moulded and fielded
panel door in case with consoles and delicate Gothic panels. Symmetrical garden
front to no. 6, with three glazing bar sash windows.
