House. Early C17 with late C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-framed
with painted brick infill and replacement walling on rubble base; thatched
roof, hipped at north end with brick ridge stack at north end of ridge.
Two framed bays aligned-north/south with large external rubble chimney and
circular bread oven at north gable end now enclosed by a single-bay addition
(possibly late C17 to early C18 and partly rebuilt in late C19). Single storey
and attic with dormer. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate, collar
and tie-beam truss with two struts at south end. There is some timber visible
in the additional north bay. East front elevation: there is a flat-roofed C19
bay window in the north bay of the original part which has a moulded cornice
and a pair of plain sash windows. On the ground floor of the south bay is a
rectangular light. Above the bay window is an eyebrow dormer with a 3-light
casement. The main entrance in the south bay has a C19 door with four flush
panels. Part of the bread oven is visible in the angle with the northern addition.
Attic light at south end. The north side of the additional bay has a bay window
similar to that in the front elevation. C20 single-storey addition to rear of
south bay. Interior is said to have been altered and fireplace blocked.
