Farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings. Probably late C16 with late C19
and mid- and late C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with rendered
infill, partly roughcast with steeply-pitched machine-tiled roof and east end
brick ridge stack. Three framed bays aligned east/west. Single storey and
attic with dormers. Framing: three rows of square panels from sill to wall-
plate, short solid bracket to upper east corner of front elevation. No roof
trusses visible but old roof structure appears to have survived. North front
elevation: No 1 occupies the central and west bay and has two rectangular C20
lights on the ground floor. Above the central bay is a gabled dormer (possibly
C17) with a 2-light C20 casement. There is a C20 lean-to timber-framed porch
in the south bay which has partly glazed door, a leaded square light to the left
of it and there is a glazed C20 door within. No 3 occupies the east bay and has
a ground floor 3-light casement with a plank weathering and a similar gabled
dormer to that in the central bay. There is a lean-to porch on timber posts
and a half-glazed door. Attic lights in gable ends. At the east end the attic
window has been incorporated within an original oriel window with moulded brackets
and sill. C20 additions at rear. Interior: No 3 has a chamfered cross-beamed
ceiling and a large fireplace with a bread oven. The interior of No 1 is said
to retain some original features.
