House, now offices. Late C18 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Red
brick with shallow-pitched hipped slate roof, deep boarded eaves and brick
stacks. Three storeys with sill band to first floor windows and string course
defining frieze at front. Five bays; the central bay breaks forward slightly;
windows have gauged flat heads; 12-pane sashes on ground and first floor, 6-pane
sashes on second floor. Central entrance has an open pediment, engaged Doric
columns, panelled reveals and C20 door with barred segmental fanlight.
]interior: original ceiling mouldings and woodwork appears largely intact
on ground floor. Open well staircase with moulded. handrail. A single-bay
wing, lower in height, adjoins to right; it has no sill band or string course
but the fenestration is similar apart from the first floor window opening
which appears to have been lengthened to accommodate a 15-pane sash.
