Public House. Early C17. Cased in C18, altered C19 and C20. Timber
frame. Brick casing, whitewashed and roughcast. Machine tiled roof. L
plan: 4 bays with 2 bay cross wing to left and short projecting wing to
right. 2 storeys. Entrance with round head to left of centre flanked by
C20 additions. First floor central bays have a small 2-light casement
and a 6-pane casement in reveals. Short projecting wing on right bay has
a ground floor C20 window, first floor 3 light casement and a hipped
roof. Left bay under bargeboarded gable of slightly taller cross wing.
Ground floor C20 casement and first floor 12-pane sash. Ridge stack to
left of main range, second stack to rear pitch at right end. Roof hipped
to right. Left return: rebuilt stack at angle with front. Ground floor:
a canted bay and a C20 window, first floor 12-pane sashes. C19 stack at
rear gable end. 1 storey C18 addition to rear. Interior: ground floor
ogee stop chamfered binding beams, queen post roof. A public house
