House. Early C17, possibly rebuilding an earlier open hall. C18 and
early C19 alterations. Early C20 extensions. Timber frame, rendered and
roughcast. Rendered brick extensions with applied timber and some
weatherboarding. Steeply pitched tiled roof. 3 bays with cross wing, L
plan, lobby entry. 2 storeys and attics. Central entrance in C19 gabled
porch with sidelights, pointed, chamfered entrance arch, bargeboards.
Ground floor: 3 light window to left,segmental bow to right. First
floor: central single light with leaded panes, flanking oculi, 2 lights
to left, 3 to right all with moulded architraves. Small gable with
applied timber to right. To left early C20 extension with rectangular
bay at 45 degree angle. 4 lights with applied timber studs and
bargeboarded gable. Roof hipped to right. Central large C17 stack to
rear of ridge. Left return has gabled C20 extensions stepping down
towards rear. Right return: small extruded gable. To rear: main gable of
original cross wing to centre with first floor early C19 Gothick glazed
windows, lower weatherboarded gables to later additions. Ground floor
loggia and first floor sun balcony to left. Interior not inspected.
