Pair of houses. Dated 1741 on brick at eaves to left, extended C19. Red
brick with stone dressings. Tile and slate roofs. 7 bays, 3:3:1, left
hand bays set back slightly. Entrance to centre of right hand group of
3: 6 panelled door, moulded architrave, bracketed hood. Flush frame
glazing bar sashes, gauged brick flat arched heads, stone key blocks.
First floor: blind window to centre right, no window to centre left.
Stone coped parapet. Cross axial ridge stack between groups of 3 bays.
Left end stack. Left end roughcast. Double span roof, tile to front,
slate to rear. Entrance to No. 40 in glazed porch to C19 block added to
rear left and projecting to left with bargeboarded left gable end.
Interior not inspected.
