House and adjoining stable. House probably C17-early C18 in origin,
raised to 2 storeys and extended to rear in later C18, with C19 gables
and roof. Stable late C18-early C19 with later minor alterations.
House has brick front, first floor, gables and stack, with roughly-
coursed ironstone rubble to sides and rear ground floor. Stable has
brick front and sides and rear of coursed ironstone rubble with brick
dressings. Pantile roofs. House: baffle-entry plan. 2 storeys,
3 first floor windows. Plank door to right of centre; casements.
2-course brick first floor band with circular tie-bar ends and casements
above. All windows C20 with brick header cills. Cogged brick eaves
cornice. Brick-coped gables and axial stack. Right gable has T Y tie-
bar ends. Adjoining stable, single storey with attic, 3 bays. Central
stable door with arched cart entrance to left with inserted door and
casement. Small part-glazed and slatted opening to right. All openings
have segmental brick arches. Interior of house contains central
inglenook fireplace and pine panelled former saddler's workshop ground
floor right.
