Farmhouse, now flats. Early C19 with later alterations. Red-brown brick in
Flemish bond. Welsh slate roof. L-shaped on plan: double-depth main range
with 2-room, central entrance-hall south front, service wing to rear right.
2 storeys, 3 bays. Entrance has doorcase with ribbed pilasters and reeded
brackets carrying moulded open pediment, 6-fielded-panel door beneath
moulded lintel and radial fanlight in round-headed panelled reveal. C20
4-pane casements in original openings with sills beneath channelled and
keyed wedge lintels. Hipped roof. Stacks removed. Interior. Original
details include: entrance hall with ribbed cornice, round-headed opening
with pilasters and ribbed soffit; rear stairhall with open-well cantilevered
staircase with wreathed moulded handrail, ribbed stick balusters, clustered
foot newel and profiled cheek-pieces, moulded cornice to plasterwork ceiling
with central fan motif and ribbed frieze with pendant ball and lions' head
decoration, round-headed stair window with archivolt; round-headed arch to
upper hall similar to ground floor; ribbed cornices, windows and 6-beaded-
panel doors in ribbed architraves with floral ornament to corners. C20
addition adjoining to rear left is not of special interest.
