12/2 Rectory Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid-late C18 with later alterations. Brick, rendered. Pantile
roof. L-shaped on plan: 2-room, central entrance-hall south front, with
single-room wing and later extension to rear left. 2 storeys with attic, 3
bays; symmetrical. Step to recessed 6-fielded-panel door and 3-pane
overlight in architrave with ashlar hood carried on brackets with roundel
ornament. 12-pane sashes in flush wooden architraves, apart from C20
casement to ground floor left in original opening. Cogged brick eaves
cornice. Tumbled-in brick to raised gables. End stacks, that to right
rebuilt. Left return has sashes beneath rubbed-brick flat arches.
Interior: open well staircase with corniced handrail, plain newels and
column-on-vase balusters with square knops.
