Cottage. Early C19. Rendered and whitewashed; double Roman clay tile roof between coped gables. 2-storeys, 1-bay.
Early C20 shop window inserted to ground floor, with late C20 glazed door with fanlight over to left; above small
3-light beaded and architraved mullioned window, with small casements inserted. On East gable the village shelter and
seat: stone ashlar wing walls with oak corner posts, framework and flat shaped balustrading under cedar shingle hipped
roof: erected 1939 to commemorate the life of Sir Matthew Nathan, the village historian, reputedly designed by Sir
Herbert Baker. Both have group value contributing to the street scene in the centre of the village.
