No.1 Church Street with No.24 High Street

Formerly Inn, now two cottages. C18. Local stone rubble with Ham stone ashlar dressings; undulating Welsh slate roof
with abutment to West and coped gable to East; one large off-centre brick chimney stack. 2-storey, 6-bays. Plinthed:
bays -1 and -2 represent No.1, which has 2- and 3-light casement windows and plain boarded door in plain ashlar
surround with heavy lintel; bay -3 was carriage entrance, with large double doors and timber lintel over, half-timbered
side walls and old doors to passage; bays -4 to -6 represent No.24; hollow chamfered mullioned windows with unworked
top mitres, 3-lights to bay-4, 2-lights to upper bay-5, and 4-lights to bay-6, with labels to ground floor windows; to
lower bay-5 plain boarded entrance door in simple architrave. Interiors not seen. Little altered externally, with
important street scene value in centre of village.
