Gate lodge now a house. Late C19 for Rothschild staff, probably by
William Huckvale. Red brick ground floor and scallop red tilehung upper
parts except for 2 jettied half timbered projections diagonally at
corners. Steep red tile roof and pilastered tall red brick chimney. An
unusual 1½ storeys small house facing N but with V-plan N side. Gabled
projecting face NW and NE with a gabled open timber porch between.
5-light mullioned leaded windows to each floor and decorative framing
to gables with close-studding over window. Included for group value.
