C1840 group of 3 narrowly detached stucco villas of modest scale. Each is of
2 storeys with 3 bay symmetrical front. Passages between have short screen
wall links. Originally identical elevations with plinth, ground floor
channelled up to first floor still course; moulded bed to shallow boxed eaves.
Low pitch gable end slate roofs, stucco chimney stacks. Revealed sash
windows, shallow aprons below inset sills on first floor of Nos 22 and 23,
glazing bars intact to No 21 only. Nos 22 and 23 have C1870 insertions of
2 storey canted bay windows in their left hand bays with rusticated pilasters
to ground floors, sill course and eaves carried over. All three have same
entrance consisting of projecting doorway with broad moulded edge frame
studded with rosetes, moulded cornice and blocking course; steps up to
panelled door with rectangular fanlight of linked oval glazing pattern, set
in panelled reveals and soffit. No 25 has a narrow 2 storey coach house on
south side with upswept parapet, linking with coach house of No 24.
