II
Farmhouse. C17, altered and enlarged C19. Brick-nogged timber
framing, Flemish bond brickwork on stone plinth, tiled roof. Two-
bay, 2½-storey, one-room deep wing, single bay, 1½ storey wing to
form 'L'. To road: framing 4 panels high, left bay slightly the
larger. Two 2-light casements, small panes, weatherboard over:
above 3-light casement, iron opening light, leaded lights on right,
2-light wooden casement on left; straight braces main posts to
wallplate: external brick chimney at front of right return. Left
return: timber-framed gable on right, 2-light casement, small
panes, weatherboard over, to ground floor, shorter similar, but
without weatherboard, above. Straight braces main posts to tie-
beam; weatherboard to tie-beam and two collars to gable truss, 2-
light casement, small panes, between collars. Principal rafters
cut off above upper collar. To left brick wing, boarded door up
one brick and one stone step, under open, single-storey, timber
porch with gabled roof. Two-light casement, small panes, cambered
brick arch. Above cogged eaves, 2-light casement in gabled dormer.
Large brick chimney from ridge against back of 2-bay section.
