3/8 Star Farmhouse
GV II
Farmhouse, formerly also an inn called The Star and Garter. Late
C17 core with C18 additions to south and one bay addition to north
east corner. Rubble stone with flush quoins, Cotswold stone slate
roof. Double range, 2 stone gable stacks and 3 others, scattered.
Gabled entrance porch on west side (completely overgrown at time of
survey, August 1984) in centre, with C20 window to left. First
floor has 3 windows - C20 casements - and there are 2 small gabled
dormers. Wing to south also has C20 windows. Rear facade has twin
gables in centre with semi-circular stone projection on ground
floor between. Wing to south has doorway with flat stone hood in
half-hexagon shape.
