Detached stableblock and former granary/smithy. Early C16-early
C17 and C19. Coursed squared and dressed limestone and coursed
limestone rubble. Stone slate roof. Rectangular plan with barn at
right-hand end, stables at centre, granary towards left and C19
kennel. Two storeys. Hollow- chamfered 2-light stone-mullioned
fixed casements to ground floor. Two C20 raking buttresses towards
right-hand end. Three plank doors, 3 within flat-chamfered
surrounds, one within roll-moulded surround. All 4 doors with
matching strap hinges with decorative ends. First floor lit by 3
bull's-eye windows, one 3-light wood casement towards right gable
end: gable end facing road, diagonal buttress at south-east
corner, central plank door within shouldered arch with semi-
circular relieving arch above. Four-pane casement above within
flat- chamfered surround. Smithy/granary set back slightly at
right gable end. Two-light steel casement right of clamp buttress.
Single-light with flat-chamfered surround to first floor. C19
kennel set back at left-hand end with cast-iron railing at front.
Slightly stepped gable end coping with roll-cross saddles with
carved trefoil decoration.
Interior; 3-bay barn, 5-bay stable block, 2½-bay granary/smithy.
Nine raised cruck trusses with narrow ridge purlin carried on king
block on saddle, collar. Double purlins wth diagonal joints.
Remains of C19 smithy furnace on ground floor. Four grain bins in
first floor granary.
