12/255 Mawley Farm House
II
Former farmhouse. Early C17, probably extended and much altered in
C19. Rubble stone, stone slate roof, truncated end stack to left
and stone end stack to right with offset and moulded cornice on
original range, rear range has large external stone stack with
decorative brick flue. L-shape range with rear wing probably a C19
addition, and with single storey lean-to in rear angle. Two
storeys with attic in gable end of main range. Street frontage has
three long 6-pane sashes on each floor with flush quoin surrounds.
Left hand return has 2-light stone mullion and square hoodmould in
gable. Right hand return has glazed porch and half-glazed 4-panel
door and mixed fenestration.
