7/232 Stable block and cartshed to north
west of Leafield Farmhouse

Stable block and cartshed. Early C18. Rubble stone with
alternating flush quoins, stone slate roof. Long range of 2
storeys with attached parallel building to west and range at right
angles to east not included. Two square openings to east on first
floor and 3-light stone mullion with square hood mould on south
gable end. Ground floor has door (now sliding) and flanking small
2-light wood mullions to left, all with large flush stones in
surrounds. To right, a door to staircase, 2 pairs of doors and
adjoining window with timber lintels, and 2 cart bays with timber
lintels to right hand end. One of 2 well preserved buildings in a
formerly much larger good farm group.
