14/54 Cider house at Gordon Park Farm
II
Cider house. Mid C19, for S.S. Marling. Random rubble limestone,
ashlar dressings; plain tile roof. High Victorian Gothic style.
Three-storey; square block. Large round-arched opening on each
face of upper floor, blocked to south and west; bold timber plate
tracery, 2-light, and timber louvres to north; off-centre to east
with 2-light timber tracery. Small round-arched opening to middle
floor on east side with large opening below, now with concrete
lintel. Blocked middle floor opening on south side with segmental
arch. Tall hipped roof, sprocketed at eaves with exposed rafter
ends. Small gablets at east and west end of short ridge with
turned timber finials. Cider mill has been removed. Adds to the
High Victorian silhouette of Selsley West.
