Former brewhouse

Part dwelling, part storage, formerly carriage house with accommodation over, and
brewhouse with maltings. Dated 1833. Fine crossed and squared limestone, front part
stone slate hipped roof, remainder concrete tile and gable termination. A long narrow
building lying immediately south-west of Weaver's House (q.v.). Front to road two
storeys, broad 3-light sash at first floor over former carriage entrance with shallow
elliptical arch plank doors, flanked by smaller sashes, all with glazing bars. Long
return, left, first section two storeys, 4-windowed various casements, containing
living accommodation, then, left, two storeys, various casement openings, throughway
between sections, and further entrance near left end; all openings with segmental
heads, some with remains of casements. First floor, far left, single stone segmental
head carries inscription in raised lettering: '18 SPRICE 33'. Inside at gable end,
pyramidal roof construction over full height space.
