Cottage. Dated 1617 on dormer with C19-early C20 extensions.
Large random squared and dressed limestone blocks; later
extensions: coursed squared and dressed limestone, partly
rendered; brick stacks. Rectangular main body with later
extensions to the left and right gable ends and rear left. 1½
storeys. Two Cotswold dormers to the main body. Two-light double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casement with ovolo-moulded mullion
ground floor left; similar window to the dormer above; 2-light
double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement with a hollow-moulded
mullion lower right; similar window to the dormer above with
sundial datestone with moulded hood over. Central glass door with
glazing bars within a round-headed surround with keystone and
imposts within a gabled brick-built porch. One 2-light and one 3-
light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned casement both with hoods and
an early single light casement at the rear. All windows to the
main body have leaded panes, some retaining early latches. C20
two-light casement to the lean-to to the right gable end. Fixed
C20 two-light casement and part-glazed C20 double door to the
extension to the left gable end. Gable-end stacks to the main body
with dogtooth brickwork at the top of each shaft. According to
Verey the cottage had a round stone chimney and a stone spiral
staircase. Interior not inspected.
