Detached house. Late C17-early C18. Coursed squared and dressed
limestone; concrete tile roof; cream-coloured brick stacks.
Rectangular plan with later extension rear right. Symmetrical 2-
storey, 2-windowed facade lit by C20 three-light wooden casements,
probably replacing stone-mullioned casements. Central plank door
with a flat-chamfered surround crudely incised date and initials
'T.Y. 1755' on the lintel may indicate a change of ownership or
possibly the date of alterations. C20 casements to the extension
to the rear. Roll-moulded capping to the gable ends with moulded
kneelers, Stone ridge tiling. Gable-end stacks.
Interior: square-panelled timber-framed partition wall;
intersecting beams with deep flat chamfers, the spine beam being
narrower than the cross members; large stone fireplace with flat-
chamfered surround; bread oven with segmental-headed opening to
the right; open fireplace with bressumer beam in the adjoining
downstairs room.
