House, late C17, extended and altered in C19. Part timber framed, plastered,
part red brick, Flemish bond, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. H-plan with
main elevation facing NE. 2 axial chimney stacks symmetrically disposed in
main range, one external stack on SE wall. 2-storey parallel range to rear of
main range, C19. Single-storey extension to rear of NW wing, C19, and C20
extension to NW of it. NE elevation, central door with 6 fielded panels, simple
doorcase with hood on scrolled brackets. 2 double-hung sash windows of 12
lights, late C18/early C19, and 2 french windows, C19. First floor, 4 double-
hung sash windows of 12 lights, late C18/early C19, and a multi-pane sash window
with round head and some coloured glass above door, C19. Attics, 3 casement
windows of 9 lights, the middle one in a gabled dormer with fretted bargeboards,
C19. Cusped and fretted bargeboards on both gables, C19. Some crown glass
in sash windows, particularly on first floor of front elevation and rear
elevation of SE crosswing. On side wall of NW crosswing at first-floor level,
one horizontally-sliding sash window of 18 lights, C19.
