House. Late C17, altered in C19. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with hand-
made red clay tiles. L-plan, with wings extending to N and E, facing S. C17
central stack in front range, C18 stack at end of rear range, with C19 extension
beyond. Single-storey lean-to extension in rear angle, C18, and another, C19,
on right side of rear end. C19 porch of red and blue bricks, with gabled roof
of fishscale slates and side entrance, on left return wall of front range. Main
range of 2 storeys with attics, rear range of 2 storeys. 2-window range of late
C19 sashes of 4 lights, 2 C19 horizontally sliding sashes of 4 lights in swept
dormers. Central plain door in trellised porch with fretted bargeboards. Roofs
hipped. Late Cl8 3-light window with one wrought iron casement in lean-to in
rear angle. Axial beams with lamb's tongue stops, other beams boxed in.
