Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays facing E,
with axial stack in second bay from right end. Short extension and C18/C19
stack at left end. Single-storey lean-to extension at right end. C17 stair
tower to rear of stack (stair removed) enclosed by rear extension, c.1950. 2
storeys. 4-window range of C20 casements. C20 gabled porch. Grouped diagonal
shafts on main stack. The interior has jowled posts, straight braces trenched
inside studs, one chamfered transverse beam with lamb's tongue stops, chamfered
axial beam with exposed thin joists in left bay. Face-halved and bladed scarfs
in wallplates. 2 large wood-burning hearths. Introduced doorhead from an
earlier building alongside main stack. RCHM 35.
