TL 4551 GREAT SHELFORD KINGS MILL LANE
(East Side)

GV II


Watermill mainly late C19 but incorporating part of earlier mill
of C17-C18 to the North. Now offices and dwelling house.
Timber framed, weatherboarded and gault brick. C17-C18 part has
steeply pitched pantiled roofs. Plan of main range spanning the
mill race with a range to the north. Two storeys and attic.
Garages at ground floor with C20 small pane casements above.
Adjoining to the south are C19 extensions. One of gault brick
with weatherboarded upper storeys. Four storeys. The other is
also of gault brick with a slate roof. Four storeys, each with
four original windows with cast iron glazing bars. A mill is
referred to at Great Shelford in the Domesday Survey.
