Approach to Eaton Park.
GV II
Lodge (one of a pair) now disused, circa 1850 for the 2nd Marquis of
Westminster probably by William Burn. Ashlar red sandstone, with roof
concealed behind parapet. Corner piers with tall recessed panel on
each side between projecting plinths and caps which carry ball
finials. Shaped false gables to front and rear. Mullioned and
transomed window to front, surmounted by Grosvenor arms, with Talbot
dogs as supporters. The lodge was a store-shed disguised as a
cottage, in the Jacobean manner. Sandstone wall to forecourt with
steeply weathered coping, linked to lodge by a console.
