House and attached cottage to right, 1887, by Douglas and Fordham for
the 1st Duke of Westminster. Brown brick with blue diapering to
slightly jettied upper storey on corbelled brick string. Red tile
roofs with plain end gables; five chimneys with separated spiral flues
of moulded brick and 1 rectangular chimney. Two storeys; the house of
3 and the cottage 1 bay, in an asymmetrical Jacobean manner. Iron
casements, with leaded glazing removed, in openings of moulded brick
with shaped mullions. Door to house framed and boarded, half glazed;
to cottage framed and boarded.
