Handed pair of cottages, 1867, for the 2nd Marquis of Westminster.
Brown brick in Flemish bond on sandstone plinth with grey slate gabled
roofs and a square central chimney of brick. One window cottages of 2
storeys, each with a gable near the centre of the front. Cast iron
lattice casements and framed and boarded doors under label-moulded
sandstone lintels. Simplified Jacobean in expression. The single
storey attached outbuilding at the rear is little altered structurally,
but re-roofed in corrugated asbestos.
